The Zebrafish International Resource Center is a central repository for wild-type, transgenic and mutant strains of zebrafish. The primary mission of the ZIRC is to distribute these strains and other research materials to the research community. The ZIRC also develops methods to improve zebrafish health and provides health services, including diagnostic pathology testing for zebrafish and medaka. ZIRC is supported by a grant from the NIH-NCRR.
